Darren Robb
MALE PARTICIPATION
Rugby League is more than a passion for me. The game has given me more than what I believe I will be able to repay it. Personally, I want the game to continue to develop, grow and become more inclusive for everyone. I am grateful to be able to sit on this board of like-minded, driven individuals, to steer the game to provide the best environment and experiences for everyone to enjoy.
I am a father to 3 boys and have played, volunteered and worked in Rugby League for 30 years. Originally from Mackay, I moved to the Gold Coast to complete a Business Degree and to see what opportunities playing Rugby League presented. The childhood dream of playing NRL made way for completing my study while working for the Australian Rugby League Foundation and newly formed Gold Coast Titans, to where I am still currently employed as the NRLW Manager – Participation & Pathways.
Prior to joining the RLGC board, I have undertaken a variety of roles within the local league including being a local club committee member and coaching coordinator, and Vikings junior representative coordinator and coach. I was also part of the RLGC Game Development committee before becoming the chairperson of what is now known as the Male Participation committee.
I look forward to the season and the opportunities that lay ahead.
