Wayne Court

Wayne has been involved in Rugby League on the Gold Coast since 2005 starting off as an U7s coach for his eldest sons team. In 2007 he stepped into the role of President of the Helensvale Hornets and held that role for the past 18 years before deciding the time was right for him to step back from club land and take the next step up to help the district as a whole.

During his 20 years involved with the game having his 3 sons playing right through juniors and beyond, Wayne coached all age groups from U6s to Seniors for the Hornets as well as a long involvement in Gold Coast and SEQ Rep teams in both coaching and trainer roles. Wayne has also served on the Finance and Competition Committees for Rugby League Gold Coast as well he was the founding Chairman and still current Board Member of the Jack Beasley Foundation, which is a Non-Profit Charity raising awareness and education youth around knife violence and crime.

Business wise, Wayne has a long history in Executive Management and Business Ownership roles that has provided him with the experience and foundations required to guide Rugby League Gold Coast on the right path for the future.

He is also a passionate Life Member of Rugby League Gold Coast and a Rugby League tragic and with his drive and commitment to the game, he is excited about ensuring Rugby League continues to flourish and grow on the Gold Coast.
