Coomera Cutters

Coomera Cutters are now entering the 10th year of competition (2022) in the Gold Coast District Junior Rugby League. The club has experienced an exceptional first 5 years, and plans for the future will see us develop into one of the largest clubs on the coast with 600+ players registered. Coomera Cutters JRLC is one of the fastest growing Rugby League Clubs in Queensland, with the biggest junior catchment of players in Queensland. Coomera, Upper Coomera and Pimpama are some of the quickest growing communities in South East Queensland. This growth is forecasted to continue many years to come, which will enable Coomera JRLC to continue to grow at a rapid rate. Demographically, Coomera is located in the fastest growing area on the Gold Coast with a population boom of 14.4% in 2010 (the next highest being 5.9%).

We are a fresh club, with the focus on fun and fitness for all children. We cater for boys and girls from age 5 to 7 who participate in league tag.

U8s up to U18s members participate in player tackle. We also look forward to welcoming our female teams back this year, catering for the first ever all girls comp on the Gold Coast with our U12s, and also an over whelming amount of interest in our U14 girls, with expressions of interest taken in other age groups.

Coomera Cutters also field a senior men team playing in the Debbie Marzella Cup, who participated in semi-finals last season 2021.

In 2019 we hosted our first ever minor semi, which saw hundreds of participants across the South East attend Coomera. The weekend was very successful, and this season we are fortunate enough to host the Junior Major Semi in August 2022. The club also host representative carnivals, school carnivals as well as opening up the field space for Oztag and touch football.

We are very lucky to have Penetron who continues to be Coomera Cutters Major sponsor since 2020, having also been involved with the club since 2016.

We are proudly family orientated, with a strong inclusive culture. We are lucky to attract a wide range of players from all different backgrounds, coming together to play together under one banner, Coomera Cutters!
