The Gold Coast Rugby League Referees Association provides officials to all games of Rugby League under the jurisdiction of RLGC.

Our area encompasses some 850sq km from Coolangatta to Ormeau, out to Jimboomba, Beaudesert and Tamborine Mountain.

We provide an alternate pathway to the NRL for people wanting to stay involved with Rugby League without being involved in the contact side of the sport. You get the best seat in the house.

Officials receive regular coaching and development just like players and as they move up the age groups and competitions also attend representative carnivals where they can be selected for further development squads under the QRL.

What can refereeing do for you?

Being a referee teaches resilience, conflict resolution, decision making and along with those key skills comes confidence, self-belief and fitness.

Our officials come from all walks of life. Current players, ex-players, parents, brothers and sisters, ex-military or people that just want to be involved in the great game of Rugby League.
